The Tomintoul 16 year old was personally developed by Master Distiller Robert Fleming, a project which net the bottle 6 gold medals in various spirit competitions.  It is the archetypical Speyside whisky: creamy, nutty, sweet, and almost coffee-like with hints of vanilla.
