Dram Wall
The Dram Wall at Speyside Whisky Shop
At the heart of our shop sits the Dram Wall: a striking oak feature inspired by a traditional whisky bar, lined with around 80 open bottles and created to celebrate exploration, curiosity, and great whisky. This is where customers can take their time, taste widely, and discover something new. Whether that’s trying a dram before committing to a full bottle or enjoying a whisky that’s no longer available on the open market.

The selection is intentionally varied. Alongside bottles that match our current retail shelves, allowing you to sample before you buy. You’ll find old, discontinued drams from distilleries across Scotland. We make a conscious effort to open local Speyside favourites, iconic classics from the past, and unusual single casks you won’t find open anywhere else. The Dram Wall is a living collection, constantly evolving as bottles are finished and replaced with something equally interesting.
Standout pours include a Tamdhu 17 Year Old Single Cask matured in Oloroso European oak, one of just 597 bottles, the depth and elegance of a 21 Year Old Springbank, the powerful peat of Octomore 13.1, the cult Springbank 5 Year Old 100 Proof, and a Balvenie Founder’s Reserve from the 1980s that offers a rare taste of whisky history. Alongside these are modern favourites drawn straight from our shelves, such as GlenAllachie 12 Year Old, GlenDronach Ode to the Dark, Tamdhu 12 Year Old, and the Thompson Bros. Highland Blended Malt.
Every dram on the wall can be enjoyed in the shop or taken away with you, filled into sealed glass bottles so you can savour it later or share it at home. Whether you’re sampling, revisiting an old favourite, or discovering something truly unique, the Dram Wall is about making exceptional whisky accessible, memorable, and meant to be enjoyed.
