This Longrow Peated from Springbank’s November 2025 release is a compelling Campbeltown whisky, matured largely in ex-bourbon casks (65%) with a significant minority of sherry influence (35%). At 46% ABV, it delivers a bold yet balanced smoky character. The peat is present but not overwhelming, coexisting with creamy vanilla custard and soft marshmallow notes on the nose. On the palate, familiar coastal saltiness and sea spray meet gentle medicinal smoke, with a touch of herbs, dried fruit, and a subtle underlying sweetness from the sherry casks. The finish lingers with mellow smoke, a hint of dried fruit and a warm, slightly briny minerality, capturing the maritime soul of Springbank’s peated spirit.
