GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 4 is a prestigious limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that represents the fourth annual release of GlenAllachie’s much-anticipated 30-year-old series, bottled in 2024 at its natural cask strength of 49.1 % ABV and presented in classic style with no added colouring or chill filtration. Carefully crafted by Master Distiller Billy Walker, this edition was composed from a selection of three Pedro Ximénez and two Oloroso sherry casks chosen from the distillery’s extensive ultra-aged stocks, allowing more than three decades of maturation in rich sherry wood to develop deep complexity and nuanced character. The influence of these Spanish oak casks is evident with a polished antique mahogany colour and a flavour profile that unfolds from inviting aromas of dark chocolate, honeycomb and raisin butter with hints of muscovado sugar and plum syrup into a palate layered with rich cocoa, heather honey, baking spices, molasses and orchard fruit notes, finishing long with elegant sherried sophistication. This Batch 4 release reflects GlenAllachie’s elegant house style and its evolution into producing highly collectible, age-worthy single malts, embodying both tradition and the skillful cask selection that has become a hallmark of the distillery.
