This non-age-statement release is matured in a carefully chosen combination of four complimentary cask types — American bourbon casks alongside hand-picked sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks and hogsheads — reflecting Macallan’s storied commitment to wood influence, which lies at the heart of its house style. Bottled at 40% ABV and presented in a light gold hue, Quest delivers a flavour profile built around refreshing soft citrus and rounded apple on the nose with vanilla sweetness and subtle oak, leading into a palate of apple mixed with gentle ginger, dried fruits and warm spice before a medium-sweet finish of light fruit and gentle oak, making it an accessible yet characterful introduction to The Macallan’s world of single malts.
