Oishii Wisukii 40 Year Old 46.3% – The Highlander Inn is a highly collectible and rare blended Scotch whisky released in 2026 as part of the annual limited series bottled exclusively for The Highlander Inn. The name Oishii Wisukii literally means “Delicious Whisky” in Japanese, reflecting the series’ ethos of artful, flavour-driven whisky and the striking, Mad Max inspired label featuring a Highland cow, a playful twist on iconic whisky artwork. The 2026 40 year old release brings together a rich blend with around 80% malt whisky (predominantly from Diageo stocks including Clynelish) and 20% grain whisky distilled in 1975, aged over four decades and finished in premium oak to produce a complex, luxurious dram. With an outturn of just 378 bottles, this bottling is a rare expression that highlights concentrated sweetness, dark fruit depth and oak complexity alongside the creative spirit of The Highlander Inn’s annual releases since 2016, making it a standout for serious collectors and fans of exquisitely aged blended Scotch.
