Tamdhu - Cigar Malt I

Tamdhu Cigar Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinctive and curated Speyside single malt from Tamdhu Distillery, crafted to celebrate the classic pairing of fine whisky with premium cigars and first released in the early 2020s as a special standalone expression in the distillery’s portfolio. Exclusively matured in a hand-selected selection of first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks, a hallmark of Tamdhu’s style, since the distillery ages all its spirit in sherry casks, it’s bottled at a robust 53.8% ABV with natural colour and no chill filtration to preserve maximum texture and flavour. The Cigar Malt was conceived to mirror the spice, aroma and mouthfeel of aged tobacco leaves and to complement rich, hand-rolled cigars, embodying a richness and depth that reflects both Tamdhu’s heritage and this unique concept. On the nose you’ll find inviting notes of ginger biscuit, sweet sherry and caramel crème brûlée, while the palate unfolds dried fruit, sticky malt loaf and creamy vanilla with a long, sherried finish that echoes hints of honeyed nuts and dried apricots, making it a bold, flavourful dram with a distinctive identity within the Tamdhu range.
