Distilled on 19 November 2003 and bottled in March 2020 from a single first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry butt (cask #5892), this expression was released as a special single cask bottling in a run of only 676 individually numbered bottles at natural cask strength of around 57 % ABV with no added colouring or chill filtration, capturing the rich spirit of the distillery’s traditional approach. Matured for nearly 17 years in the lush environment of high-quality European sherry oak, the resulting whisky is deeply coloured and delivers an intensely sherried flavour profile with layers of spiced fruit loaf, plum jam and dark chocolate balanced by waves of dried fruit complexity and warmth before a long, lingering finish, reflecting both its age and the distinctive influence of its solitary sherry butt.
